Imbiba has completed a strategic growth capital investment in Viewpoint Videos (www.viewpointvideos.com), the leading provider of wearable video capture technology for visitor attractions, driving experiences and adventure sports.
A tech-enabled video capturing system
Founded by David Humpston, Viewpoint Videos provides a unique, all-in-one video capture system used by visitor attractions, driving experiences and adventure sports operators. The system uses custom made action cameras, with footage instantly processed and delivered to guests digitally, easing friction for customers looking to purchase and share their experience, while boosting ancillary revenue for operators.
David, a former junior rally driver, founded the business after receiving pre-seed funding from Peter Jones' Enterprise Academy, drawing on his own passion for motorsport and to capture and share experiences with friends. Since then, Viewpoint has sold well over a million guest videos and helped more than 200 activity centres and attractions worldwide grow their revenue, with a customer base that includes TeamSport and Zip World.
What the investment will enable
Imbiba's investment will support Viewpoint’s next phase of growth, enabling the business to broaden its offering beyond its core base into new adventure and leisure verticals, while strengthening its product and operations to support a larger, more diverse customer base.
The investment will also accelerate Viewpoint's international expansion, including increasing its presence in North America, building on existing relationships with operators in the region and investing in local sales, support and account management to serve new and existing customers closer to home.
