Imbiba invest in Big Fang Collective

Big Fang Collective Receives £5m investment from Imbiba

Big Fang Collective, the Liverpool based entertainment venue operator, has received a £5m investment from Imbiba, the UK’s leading leisure, lifestyle and entertainment investment firm.

Founded in 2016 with the creation of Ghetto Golf, which involved the renovation of the 25,000sqft Cains Brewery in Liverpool, Big Fang Collective deliver entertainment concepts with a vision to change the way the UK enjoys itself. Working with artists, dj’s, chefs and creatives, the group remodel derelict spaces into experiential multi-site entertainment venues. The sites are transformed by the Big Fang Collective creative team and local artists from each city who cover every inch of the space in street art and installations which house the most eclectic mix of street food, music and 18 holes of crazy golf to create an experience that is set to ‘blow people’s minds’.

Today, the collective boasts venues in four cities; Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle and Glasgow, across its Ghetto Golf, Golf Fang and Birdies Bar brands. The Big Fang Collective’s next venture will be the opening of their 38,000sqft multi-concept Sheffield venue, that will launch Golf Fang in phase one, closely followed by a Birdies Bar and the groups first food hall. Its focus on delivering next level entertainment spaces and the brands’ market-disrupting nature has now attracted investment from Imbiba, renowned for investing in high growth, category leading leisure and entertainment brands.

The investment from Imbiba will allow Big Fang Collective to continue their expansion, as the group actively looks to acquire new venues in many other cities across the UK, with seven new venues already planned in the next two years.

Commented Andrew Stones, Partner at Imbiba “We are extremely excited to be investing in Big Fang Collective, they are a market leader delivering unforgettable experiences across their entertainment hubs. Their creative approach, operational excellence and ambition mean there’s so much more to see from Big Fang Collective and we’re proud to be facilitating this growth.”

Kip Piper and Daniel Bolger, Founders of Big Fang Collective said, “We created our first concept with a desire to change the way the UK enjoys itself. We wanted to create a multi sensory experience that was far more than just golf. We soon found ourselves surrounded by like-minded and incredibly talented creatives from all walks of life. It’s this multidisciplinary pool of artists, dj’s, chefs and creatives that transform these sites into venues that quite literally blow people’s minds.

This investment from Imbiba will not only give each of those creatives even more space for expression but will allow us to recruit talent in cities across the UK, expand into overseas markets, futureproof the brand and deliver even more exciting concepts as a group.”
